Nose: Coffee, Carmel,Banana, Almond Butterscotch, Cinnamon,Oak Mouthfeel: Full-bodied Palate: Carmel, Banana, Oak Finish: Oak, Molasses, Toffee, Banana I get a lot of intense, robust flavors and aromas. Coffee, Oak, Molasses that seem to blend harmoniously with very slightly underripe banana, carmel and toffee. This one is possibly my favorite standard label Calle 23 to date.

NOM 1545 | Nice nose of cooked agave, oak, vanilla and caramel. I get butter and banana. There is baking spice aromas. Flavorful on the palate with vanilla and oak up front. Then agave and caramel. I get cinnamon and black pepper. A bit of alcohol on the finish. I will revisit this after it has had time to breathe.

NOM 1545 | Nose: vanilla/ caramel/ sweet cooked agave / butter / banana/ pear / apple/ tea/ slightly floral / nutmeg/ chocolate/ butterscotch/ hint of maple/ cream soda Taste: vanilla/ cinnamon/ agave cooked / banana/ apple/ peppermint/ hint of lime / anise / tea / nutmeg/ chocolate / maple/ cream soda Finish: velvety slightly viscous mouthfeel that coats the whole palate which lets the sweet vanilla and agave attack from all directions at once. Lingering sweetness and delicate spicy notes of cinnamon and peppermint linger through the whole taste. This anejo is quite delicious in the way it provides so much balance and harmony amongst the sweet and cinnamon spicy battle taking place in your mouth. You’re the winner in this war as the battle lingers on leaving vanilla and cinnamon notes throughout the finish. Quite delicious.

NOM 1545 | NOM 1545 Nose has a really nice smell of oak, caramel, vanilla, and some cherry. I let this one sit for a few minutes before sipping. Although the aromas led me to believe this would be sweet, the pepper and oak flavors balance the sweet spice and agave. An easy to sip Anejo that I would love in a higher proof!

Agave and oak on the nose. Pallet is wood with some agave. Not a bad sipper. Much better with second pour after opening. Becoming one of my favorite Añejos after opening

Good agave flavor. The Oak is noticeable and the vanilla makes it sweet but not in an over powering way.

NOM 1545 | Nose: First pass without swirling, gave me the scent found in a lumberyard. A twirl and a few moments resting time, brought spicy baking spices, vanilla, mellow oak and jammy ripe fruit aromas, cherry. Also a pinch of petrichor and white chocolate. Flavor: Tingling spices and fairly assertive black pepper are cloaked in an oily, viscous mouth feel. Creamy toffee, dark chocolate/coffee notes, and vanilla barreling still leaves space for the agave.

an añejo tequila with a really good price and quality. In our restaurant we use it to make some añejo margaritas and it is really good. An añejo balanced between agave and barrel.
