“Despite the significant differences, its profile is somewhat similar to that of an unaged agricole rum, slight funk, subdued tropical fruit, citrus, and thick mouthfeel with savory flavor. Worth trying, though not as good as the well-known brands.”

“El Tesoro Extra Añejo Nose: Sweet caramel and bourbon notes with spice, pepper and some underlying minerality. Taste & Texture: Thick and coating, clinging nicely to the glass. Sweet bourbon influence comes through but remains subtle, with soft cinnamon underneath. Tannins add noticeable dryness to the palate. Finish: Warm and sweet with lingering spice and cinnamon that carry through the finish.”

“I bought this on sale at OTT for $29, so I can't complain about the value. Other than that, this is a nice tasting bourbon.”

“The aroma is very brine-forward, with cooked agave, earth, black pepper and a mineral character underneath. On the palate, the brine really carries through, along with cooked agave, black pepper, earth and minerals. The finish is nice and lingering, with that salty, mineral character hanging around.”

  • “Aromas are rich, vanilla, brown sugar, browned butter roasted sweet potato or agave. Nice feel on the tongue, viscus. Flavors are very good, roasted agave, caramel. Long sweet finish, I’ve always loved finding these over the years, so glad these bottles have been more accessible lately, especially at the more recent prices. Great buy! ”

“The aroma is the star here. Tons of caramel, vanilla and butterscotch over cooked agave and oak. Absolutely amazing nose. On the palate, cooked agave, caramel and butterscotch come through, but there’s also a metallic/alcohol note and some harshness. The finish lingers for quite a while, but stays a little harsh.”

“It definitely smells like a good Rosa tequila with a deep rich aroma of red wine. Excellent taste with mild sweetness. Very short finish. 6/10 for value.”

  • “Great nose!! Vegetal aromas at first that go right into roasted agave, I get something salty and briney with a quick hit of eucalyptus. Flavor is great, sweet, spicy, buttery. Nice finish, medium length but just enough to want to keep filling your glass. This drinks like a lower ABV, not as hot as I expected.”

“Wow! This is really good. it has just enough smoke to let you know how it was made. It is naturally very sweet! This is a very good tequila! Mid level smoke on the finish! I'm setting value at 5/10 because it is a little expensive when compared to other blancos. I do not, however, think it is expensive for what it is and how it's made.”
