rating from a tasting in 2015. tried it at mi tierra. I was actually surprised it was decent. thought it was a gimmick tequila

Light nose with fruit of pear and apple, light spice and caramel, and a pinch of vanilla. Taste is richer than the nose, with a clean sweetness, fruit. some caramel and light vanilla, and smooth to sip.

While the reposado has some underlying caramel and roast agave sweetness, the follow on anejo presents very little of that. Some bitterness that is briny and not from oak in and of itself, right from initial entry.

Kind of like a crème brûlée bomb with some pepper and heat.
