Aromas: Medicinal nose with a strong component of smokiness-almost Mezcal like. Pretty much overwhelms any other aromas. Left to open up a while, there are glimpses of sweetness, pepper and maybe vanilla... Flavor follows the aromas - no disconnect there. Somewhat oily in the mouth with some pepper/spice heat. This bottle from 2012 seems to have some “issues”.

Mexican 38% abv. version, marbete is from 2012, tasted on 10-7-23. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, red berries, sprite, tutti frutti sweetness, it has a light effervescent sensation, clean & crisp. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, through retronasal I can smell light herbs and feel it is slightly earthy. Finish is medium, light sweet cooked agave with sprite and tutti frutti sweetness persists. At the end it feels thin.

La nariz es prácticamente solo alcohol y algo de cítrico. Muy poco agave al paladar, aunque mezclado con mineral realza un poco su sabor.

Faint aroma, contains vegetal, celery, pepper. Nice agave flavor, slightly sweet, thick mouthfeel. (Rated blind.)
