no hard spike. citrus and pepper. easy front, smooth finish. great tequila.
Great for margaritas; but it's priced for sipping. I can't properly identify the burnt taste this and most other tequilas have on the finish. Burnt agave? I prefer my sipping tequilas not to have that burnt taste on the finish. The bottle cost me $55 in Guam. The burnt taste is also found in Don Julio Silver, but not to the same degree.
Vanilla
Nice bottle : NOM 1467; Aroma: peach, vanilla, cake, pastry, graham cracker, filo, anise, apple candy. Palate; cream, peach cobbler, vanilla, cake batter, dough, butterscotch , pepper, brick, citrus, watermelon. Finish is medium and sweet with a little peppery flavor.
