Absolutely delicious! Fruity apple, agave, minerals, leather, vanilla, and cinnamon. It’s got a great fruity nose that pulls you in

This is a beautifully aged tequila. Agave forward, anise, mint (a favorite flavor profile of mine), and all the sweetness of barrel aging. A bit pricey, but it comes out of a juggernaut of fantastic tequilas and brands, NOM 1123. My first bottle went fast and I'm saving my second.

Nice flavorful aged expression. This bottle shines with its 1123 pedigree and michocan agaves blended to perfection.

Legado Añejo at 43 ABV, Lote 1 Barreling: American oak ex-bourbon sherry casks and French oak ex-cognac Martell VSOP barrels Rested 18 months, then fully blended 50/50 at cask strength Tasting Notes: Nose: barrel notes, caramel, vanilla, apricot, anise. Gets sweeter as it opens Taste: sweet cooked agave, caramel, vanilla Finish: warm (mild heat) and dry Other Notes: Sipping out of a riedel glass Color is light for anejo Viscosity is nice, also dry Legs are nice; not too thick; not too quick Overall: easy sipper, another winner from Legado and Cascahuín!

Bottle: LOTE 649, 310325 Appearance: Golden twilight Nose: Cooked agave, fruity, pear, grape, pink lady apple, banana, toasted oak, vanilla, almond, caramel, toffee, baking spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, tobacco, white pepper, dried fruit, raisin, and dark chocolate…soft presence, but complex aromas Palate: Toasted French oak, barrel spice, leather, tobacco, cooked agave, vanilla, honey, molasses/treacle, dried fruit, dried apricot, fig, date, baking spice, cinnamon, clove, anise, cocoa, coffee, brine/salinity, orange peel, and black pepper…dry, tannic, and delicious Finish: Baking spice, nutmeg, white pepper, alcohol, and toasted oak…long and warming with a thick, luscious mouthfeel Overall: This is really good. The sherry and cognac influences are both apparent, bringing out fruity, sweet, and bitter elements in relative harmony. The nose starts off soft, followed by a wallop on the palate, and finishing somewhere right down the middle. If you’re in the mood for something outside of the American oak ex-bourbon barrel profile, you’ll enjoy this quite a bit.

My rating does not reflect the quality of this tequila or the distillery that made it. The tequila is well made and well rested; drinks nicely. The flavor profile doesn’t work with my palette, however it might with yours. Don’t sleep on this brand.

This has become one of my favorite anejos. Much lighter than WC’s batch 1, and more agave forward. Both are in my top 5, but for different reasons. I could drink this everyday. Great work from 1123.

Another great anjeo out of 1123! LOTE 639 310325. 43 ABV. Very solid just like the rest of the Legado line. Pleasant nose of agave, cinnamon, vanilla and fruit. Excellent palate that still has alot of agave with nice barrel influence and some spice on the finish with some fruit. My kind of anjeo!

Aroma: cooked agave, butterscotch, cinnamon, and some barrel notes. Taste: matches the aroma very closely. Maybe some extra nutmeg and pepper. Finish: a little on the shorter side, but maybe that will change as it opens up some more. Overall: I really like it. It’s not overly-oaked out and strikes me more as a very well rested reposado. Update: I upped my score to 89 as it really opened up nicely after a few weeks. I think I’m picking up something that reminds me of scotch, maybe some peat? Either way it’s nice. I’d love to see this at a higher ABV.

Gorgeous añejo from 1123. Deep color, aromas of citrus, burnt caramel, slight mint. Taste follows those aromas with buttery caramel leading the way. Maybe some subtle minerality and grass. Pepper gradually emerges and leads into the smooth finish. Highly recommend.
