El Bandido Yankee Plata 47 is my newest high proof pickup. This 94 proof blanco gave aromas of agave and buttery notes on the first crack of the bottle. As the glass sat the buttery notes faded with citrus coming in. Nice nose. Flavors follow with agave, citrus, white pepper, and some minerals. It’s not too hot in the mouth but does have a pleasant finish appropriate for its higher proof. While not overly complex, this is a pleasant and approachable sipper I’ll happily keep drinking. I’d imagine this will be a banger for cocktails, which I’d consider for the very reasonable price point (around $50 by me).

Nice nose. Nice cooked agave, floral, citrus, white pepper, and some minerals. Taste nice cooked agave nice citrus the mineralreality is nice not quite earthy. The Agave is amped up a little bit more than the standard Blanco but it does not drink like a high proof. While not overly complex, it has a great flavor . Finish isn’t crazy long but it does have a nice pepper to it.

Right off the bat I get hit with tons of buttery sweet agave, fresh citrus, white pepper, and a touch of minerality. On the palate I get that really nice agave sweetness, paired with some lime and orange peel, subtle minerality, black pepper, and some nice herbal notes to finish it out.

Very agave forward. The agave blasts your nose as you open the bottle. Sweet cooked agave flavor with hints of black pepper and citrus sweetness. Finish is short and hot. My personal favorite from the brand. Nice value at around ~ $55 for a high proof
