I picked the 25 over the 2024. Very nice
This was a fantastic pour. Bright, bold, and incredibly expressive. It feels like a perfect evolution of the Lalo profile, with the higher proof really amplifying the core agave flavors. On the nose, the cooked agave jumps right out, earthy and rich, supported by notes of brine and green olive that give it a savory edge. There’s a vegetal and herbal character that feels fresh and natural, lifted by citrus and a touch of black pepper for brightness. On the palate, the cooked agave takes center stage again, backed by brine and olive for that signature savory note. Herbal and vegetal tones keep it vibrant and clean, while black pepper adds some bite. Citrus gives it a refreshing lift, and a hint of anise on the finish brings a subtle sweetness and spice that lingers nicely. Overall, this is a beautifully crafted high proof blanco that stays true to its roots while delivering extra depth and intensity. It’s a standout for flavor, balance, and authenticity, and one that really rewards slow sipping.
Not bad. Don’t love it. Decent heat to it
Cooked agave’s fragrant song, Aroma rich and sweet, With whispers of mint and herbs, A vegetal heartbeat. Flavors dance on tongue’s stage, Black pepper’s sharp embrace, Olive’s salt and brine entwined, Alcohol’s warm trace. A finish long and gentle, Pleasant, pure, refined— A passage through the senses, In every drop defined.
This is all agave, olive, and brine. Pretty great, actually. It’s simple, clean, and extremely agave-forward. Bravo!
Nose: timid, peppered pastrami, heat (expected) Body: light, rapid evaporation into the palate Palate: Delicious. There’s nice depth of peppered agave, red meat, tin or zinc Finish: sweet hay, loads of agave, jackfruit, long slow fade. One of the nicest finishes I can think of It’s a sipper. Would be nice with something salty I think
Sample via Agave Swappers Nose: Cooked agave, nutmeg, ethanol Taste: Very similar to the nose and a little hot Finish: The finish is peppery and pretty hot. Overall: I like it, but it's not a favorite. It drinks a little hotter than I like without much complexity on my palate.
Nose cooked agave, citrus Palette is very briny/salty Finish is medium with a slight tingle
Excellent all-purpose high proofer for the money ($60 at my local.) Stands up to ice and/or club soda. I’d probably go for the lower proof Blanco for a Margarita, but Lalo is a reliable, accessible brand no matter what expression you try.
Aroma - very nice super sweet agave. A little green olive juice. Sweet and savory. A little raw honey. It has a lot of depth. Even some floral notes. Very complex. Taste - sweet cooked agave, same as aroma. Olive brine. Sweet and savory taste wise too. Peppery. Finish- warm sweet agave and peppery. Long and pleasant. $67 in Texas. What a step up from standard LALO blanco, which is not one of my favorites. 2025 edition is best of the best. One of the best tequilas I’ve ever tasted. For my palette that is. Bonus points for it being widely available.
Nose: so much agave, grass, floral, heat at the end which bites the nostrils Taste: anise, cooked agave, light pepper, honey, spice Finish: lingering heat, If you have to choose, this over the standard proof. Stands up brilliantly in a cocktail
Love this high proof Blanco! Clean, cooked agave sweetness with a full creamy body. Sweetness is balanced beautifully with pepper and savoury elements. Full mouth feel, and a comforting warmth as it goes down. Very easy to drink
Aroma: (22) Agave, vegetal, floral, & citrus Taste: (27) same as aroma. Finish: (22) nice lingering finish of floral, vegetal, & citrus. Overall: (87) The only negative I can say is after LALO high proof it hard to drink regular LALO. $75 from ABC store vale (6).
Nose: cooked agave, brine, vegetal, black pepper, earthy, minerals, citrus, light smoke, sweet potato Palate: sweet cooked agave, brine, minerality, citrus, black pepper, vegetal, sweet potato
brine salt minerals little hotter than cascahuin tahona love this one
Honey, jalapeno, creamy vanilla, lime, herbs. Much better than the base blanco. Slightly hot on finish. Faint sulfur off note on nose.
Lalo is hands down my favorite tequila. The high proof is on another level of amazing. I didn’t think it could get better than the OG lalo. 10/10 wish this wasn’t a limited release
One of the best high proof blanco's that you can find. sweet agave smooth feel. Lalo does it again.
Tight on the nose… some may say subtle. Hot alcohol overtakes the palate. I like high proof tequila. This is ok. Serve on ice or in a cocktail.

An earthy briney minty tequila with great thickness.
