This was overhyped and overpriced. Nothing memorable really, nose has notes of honey and agave, palate is clean agave and barrel, good finish.

Cherry, vanilla, barrel spice, bubble gum, cinnamon chocolate on the nose. Barrel forward over oaked. I tasted the pre-production version and it was phenomenal. This one tastes really good but not like what I had a year ago. I just feels like It stayed in the barrel too long I get some agave, I get cinnamon, Serrano pepper, nice viscosity. For $150 a bottle this would gain a couple points. From what I hear on retail, this gets a 6 on value.

Too much barrel spins the palette! Get some burnt Carmel midway and a little sweetness on the finish.

Beautiful cooked agave, pepper, citrus, minerality, and just enough oak without hiding the Criollo agaves. Aroma is superb. Long finish. A rare 90 point tequila that loses points only because of the astronomical price.
