Caramel is the dominant flavor, accompanied by a hint of vanilla. The texture comes across as somewhat syrup-like, emphasizing the sweetness rather than the natural vegetal or earthy qualities I typically associate with agave. Finish: Thick, sweet, and syrupy. The caramel character lingers, but I’m still not finding any noticeable agave on the finish. Overall Impression: Adictivo Añejo drinks more like a sweet, dessert-style tequila to me. Caramel and vanilla are front and center from the nose through the finish, while the agave character is largely absent. For someone who enjoys a sweeter, richer sipping tequila, this profile may be appealing. Personally, I would prefer more agave presence and less sweetness.

From the nose I thought this might have a chance. Then I tasted it. I think this just raised my blood sugar a hundred points. This is super sweet city. I don’t even like desserts this sweet. I cannot recommend this to anyone who wants to try tequila. This is not tequila no matter what the label might say.
