Tekiah Kosher Añejo Tequila — Tasting Review Appearance: A nice amber color in the glass. It coats the glass well, showing some body, but without looking or feeling overly thick or syrupy. Aroma: The aroma leans toward wood and oak, with subtle vanilla and caramel notes coming through. Nothing feels overly sweet or heavy on the nose. Taste: Light and approachable on the palate. The barrel influence immediately reminds me of a lighter-style whiskey, with vanilla being one of the more noticeable flavors. The overall profile is fairly delicate rather than bold or overly complex. Finish: Smooth and easy on the finish. There is a light whiskey-like heat that develops toward the back end of the sip, but it doesn’t come across as harsh. Overall: Tekiah Kosher Añejo drinks more like a light, whiskey-influenced añejo than a rich or heavily sweet tequila. The wood, vanilla and caramel characteristics are present without giving it the syrupy quality sometimes found in sweeter añejos. The whiskey character carries from the aroma through the palate and into the finish. For someone who enjoys whiskey and is exploring aged tequila, I think this would be a very approachable crossover bottle. For a tequila drinker looking for a strongly agave-forward añejo, the barrel influence may stand out more than the agave itself.

Earthy. Light agave, palate is light and flat. Oaky, easy to drink no. Light finish

Aroma is an interesting mixture of floral perfume and dry sawdust. Like the blanco, very soft mouth feel. Likely heavy filtration and oxygenation. Easy drinking with little burn and a medium finish. Some ice red fruits here. Overall, lacks complexity but very approachable.

Lots of mint and menthol on the aroma, especially early. Give this a little time to evaporate. Soft mouth feel. Herbal and savory with a nice hit of cooked agave sweetness. Overall, is a bit disjointed but pleasant.

Nose and Taste is sweet cooked agave, vanilla, and toffee. Used a Chisholm Trail standard Jarrito for tasting. This is a light Reposado and an easy sipper. Great for bourbon drinkers.

Tekiah repo riedel glass, 8pm, shortly after steak dinner. I let it sit 60 mins Caramel, vanilla, apricot, cinnamon, pepper, whiskey, barrel spices. Finish is dry and mildly bitter this was a neck pour, so I will revisit and update if appropriate
