Big bold aroma and flavor and a minty, clean, respectable finish. Absolute bargain!

• Visual: Good viscosity, very slow cascade. • Initial Nasal Impact: Warming w/ slight prickle. • Aroma: Musty, dried flowers, lemon oil, cinnamon, white chocolate. • Mouthfeel: Soft and buttery w/ sufficient alcohol. • Flavor: Lemon oil, cooked agave, mineral, spicy white chocolate, mint. • Finish: Short - Medium w/ lemon oil and white chocolate. Mineral and mint notes develop on the retro nasal. Lots of mint on the retro nasal.

TMM Blind Tasting: Aroma is sweet. Some cooked agave, floral notes (rose petals?) and some tropical notes of coconut. A little vanilla but doesn't seem overly present or fake. Almost a bakeshop/cooked sugar smell to it. The palate was very sweet with dried fruit and candied fruit to it. Hints of lemon and honey, almost like a lemon tea with honey in it taste. Finish has candied fruit with some pepper.

Nose is roast agave, cinnamon and some ethanol. Natural sweetness on entry from the roast agave and a good tug at the back of the throat on the finish. Rated blind 2025

Almost pungent smell on the nose. The palate is soft with agave and minimal heat.

This is a sleeper. Has the matalitic funkiness on the nose. Taste opens up to a major sweetness of a sugary spearmint gum, little orange peel This is surprising me.

Some cooked agave but more raw agave on the nose….herbal vegetal with some citrus. Orange peel flavor with spearmint with a bite and a long finish…. Not overly complex. Nice affordable sipper, probably would be good in a cocktail.

not complex, but very good, especially at the price point. Agave, spearmint, mineral, and slight grass and lactic funk on the nose. Taste is the same as the nose with agave and spearmint taking center stage and add a little brine. Mouth feel is medium range oily. Finishes a little peppery,lactic, and mint. I don't taste any additive. This would be great to introduce to friends who balk at the more expensive brands. easy sipper, gonna be staple on the shelf.

Picked this bottle up after passing on it so many times. I think the label (which is very basic) and the price always made me look away. Paid 23.99 US for it Nom 1551 1 Liter On the nose it’s very subtle, some light sweetness, agave forward. On the palette it is very easy to sip, not very complex, it’s pretty straight forward. Very little heat, clean Agave. Quick finish that kinda sits in back of throat a little longer. I mean for the price I would keep a few bottles of this around the house, sip, mix, shake, GO FOR IT! Not many additive free tequila around in the price range of 24$

@ 30 USD for a liter, this one is a hard value to beat! Not tremendously deep or complex, but an easy intro sipper or mixer. Right in the mix with Cimarron, Altos, Arette, and the like for an economy option.

Perhaps the best bang for buck additive free supper and mixer on the market. 1L for $20. Stands alongside Arette and Cimarron with a slight edge

Considering it's 1L for under $25, it's quite pleasant and very sippable. Overall lacking complexity in all areas but still hard to beat for the price and it's additive free.

aroma: slight sweetness, nice agave notes with some citrus. taste: good minerality, a little heat and funk to it which I love.

My new mixing tequila for parties. There’s enough cooked agave and balance with the alcohol that you can sip it. And at $24 for a liter, this is a huge bargain (compared to Cimarron, Tres Agaves, Olmeca Altos). Unfortunately this tequila is hard to find in SoCal. I have seen the sister brand Tanteo in many grocery stores, so hopefully Espero can find its way into the mainstream market. Curious to try Espero and see how they compare.
