“Nose: The nose is very sweet and pleasant -- lots of agave and vanilla. Taste: Not as sweet as you might expect from the aroma, but still a tiny bit of sweetness that meshes well with the oak that comes through. This was my very first Anejo tequila and it was love at first taste. This bottle really got me into loving tequila, so I thought it was only fitting that it would be my first review. If I reviewed this tequila when I first tried it years ago, I would certainly have rated it in the 90's. Having tasted many other tequilas since then, I wouldn't consider it a top-tier anejo, but it still holds a special place for me. At $40 it is also a very good bargain for a solid anejo tequila in my opinion.”
