Smells sweet; almost reminiscent of an aged rum. Healthy bit of alcohol; some butter; some black pepper in subsequent sip. Not fond of the flavor. Sharp alcohol. Some sweetness. Finish is average in length (60 sec or so). Okay flavor with a lot of burn.

A fruity aroma with mild spices, hints of agave and wood. The sweet flavors of baked agave and fruit are quickly followed by a creamy pepper finish.

Smokey finish

The aroma is a mix of paint thinner, vanilla, and some agave. There is some mustiness in the aroma also. The flavor and finish are syrupy sweet. There is a little late burn deep in the chest. This smacks of additives. These are not the flavors of a well crafted, barrel aged product. I spent 4 dollars on an airplane size bottle. I’m glad I didn’t spend more.

Grassy, hint of agave, smoky flavor like barrel char, lime, a hint of salt. full of fake flavors, one of over 60 brands made at this nom, and sold exclusively at total wine. Sketchy at best. For those moments when you don’t care about tradition and you like what you like.

50 mL sampler. The nose on this is actually pretty interesting but it set my expectations way too high. There’s the oak and caramel from the barrel, cinnamon, butter, a vegetal/grassy presence, mild agave, and definite minerality. The palate is flat and simple. It lacks flavor other than a lot of black pepper and a funky, herbal bitterness. Thankfully the finish is short. Not the worst I’ve had but not worth revisiting. At the end of the day it’s just another product from La Cofradia.

Odd wood shaving aroma. Carmel & cinnamon mixed in. Oily mouth feel, the flavor is peppery sweet, fruity taste with some chocolate at the end.The finish stays a warm heat with coconut alcohol flavors.

Aroma Cooked agave followed by alcohol, oak, and vanilla. Taste Vanilla and caramel followed by oak, cooked agave, and baking spices.

This was given to me as a gift. Took me over a year to get myself to finish the bottle. This tequila wouldnt make it in my top 10. It has too much bite and not a good finish. On a positive note the bottle looks OK.

Honey notes and good agave flavor. Palatable and sweet with a quick finish.

With any low performing tequila or spirit just put it in the freezer to help cut down the bite.

I prefer a respo, but this is not one to turn down. Excellent sipper.

Flavors of chocolate, coffee, and oak.

Very smooth. Has the floral and minerality notes I would expect from a valles tequila. Some sweetness from the barrel comes through as well. Drawbacks for me are a lack of complexity and balance. Overall, nice to drink but not among my favorites.

This is an average añejo expression at a really low price. Good as an introductory low budget añejo. Sweet nose and taste with an average finish.

I'm very new at this, but for me the aroma is very pleasing. The finish is a little harsh. I'm still searching for my palette.
