NOM 1443 | Woooo!! This is something! Super strong and fun! Aroma is the best part. Deep dark barrel with some agave chilling in the background. The barrel says “Merry Christmas“! Nutmeg, spice, clove then fades into brown sugar. The taste is exuberant! It lets you know it’s there. Sweetness followed by some bitter fruit. I don’t know if I like it or hate it. But it’s strong in flavor and announces its presence with gusto! Finish is good and dances between the sweetness and bitterness of the flavor. It’s quite nice.

Wood, leather, and faint, agave aroma. Flavor is cinnamon spice, hot. It finishes with spiced cider and a little tingly astringent.

Tasted blind with AMM: Very nice apricot and cherry nose. Flavors have a little more bite with some pine, leather, and tobacco notes. This has a dry short finish.

TMM/AMM XA Blinds Dec 2025 #8 one of the darkest in color Nose: at first i got apple or pear, which dissipated but still there on the high nose. anise, grapa? herbal and barrel spice Palate: barrel spice, with an oaky dryness on the tongue Finish: dry

AMM XA Blind Tasting: Nose of anise, plum, brown sugar, clove and floral hints. Lots of perfume. Med-brown color Wow, high alcohol burst right off the bat, likely high abv, notes of burnt wood, candied cherry. Pretty hot finish with some hints of cooked agave sweetness on the back end Score: 87 (likely high on perceived value) Original notes: I liked this one. It’s well-aged with rich oak influence from the wine barrels. It has notes of caramel, dried fruit, and spices. The agave still peeks through, but the barrel influence is front and center. A good sipper with the added proof that shines. Score: 83

The aroma has a funk I can’t quite identify, but beyond that I get barrel notes, some sweetness, lacks agave aromas. Woah-this tastes just like whiskey to me! This juice was completely overwhelmed by the barreling. The finish has a bitterness that I associate with whiskey. This one isn’t for me. Blind tasting score was 67, in 12/25.

5 yr high proof xa, nutty, barrel notes, sweet Carmel and vanilla, hazel nut, finish ended quickly. Price point is obviously high so the value score lowers a little.

Full of oak and barrel spices … cooked agave and vanilla on the nose … black pepper on the mouth probably due to it being 100 proof.

Butterscotch and caramel, with agave and slight mint note. Body comes in hot, even considering the abv, fades quickly. Immediate hit of pepper, oak and tannins. Dances on the back of the tongue nicely. Overall a little short and hot.

Aroma: Love this aroma. It's very complex. Orange blossom, cinnamon, oak, and a bit of vanilla. Flavor: Strong upfront. I get a little oak, banana and vanilla. Slightly bitter on the finish. Not overpoweringly oaky which I like. Definitely solid. Just wish the finish wasn't quite as bitter as it is. *Blind Tasting*

Dark copper in color this has a very muted nose with some fruit interestingly enough. Quite acidic in the mouth with a burst of ethanol suggesting higher ABV. Tingling lips and gums at the finish as well as that fruit again that fades to some oak notes.

NOM 1443 | This is something special! A five year XA at 100 proof. Wow! I definitely get heavy Napa wine barrel flavoring. This drinks very much like a whiskey but there is a just a subtle agave sweetness on the finish to remind you that it’s tequila. Another description is Chardonnay with a tequila finish. Very nice!

This was not a bad extra añejo. Was pretty good. The aromas were delightful. Lots of barrel notes. Oak, vanilla, caramel. Hints of agave came through but definitely not front and center. Flavor profile reflected much of the same with some added pepper. It had a flavor on the back end of baking spice so the finish was not an exactly what I was expecting. But overall this was pretty tasty. Higher proof too.

Aroma: High proof comes through with alcohol taking center stage and some oak and peppery notes. Flavor: The cinnamon and pepper amplify the high proof to create a ‘heat bomb’. Finish: Long finish of cinnamon and black pepper was not pleasant for me.

Nice nose…. Woody, brown sugar, maple, cinnamon, dried cherries, orange-marmalade and alcohol. Deep bourbon-like amber color. Medium mouthfeel. Strong bourbon-like profile. Sharp and sweet bite with strong barrel character, oak, baking spices and cracked-pepper. Comes in hot and sweet and lingers through a long warm finish. On one level this is a phenomenally complex and satisfying sipper. Unfortunately, for me, the essence of the “tequila” is lost and overpowered by the bourbon this tries to be.

All I got from this is agave and oak in a very elegant way… but it has been more drinking involved. The wine cask definitely plays a nice part on this spirit.

Very aromatic, herbal nose, cummins, caraway seeds backed by agave sweetness. Taste starts with sweet agave, herbal notes carries thru, red fruits mingling with spices/fennel, fat-er mouthfeel. Long memorable finish.

Love the 50% abv. After all with cask matured distillate, it’s the ethanol that delivers the aroma and flavors. And Dulce Vida delivers! So much going on here. Baked agave, caramel, baking spices, stewed fruits, brine, some minerals, vanilla for sure, flowers, pencil lead...you get the point. 91 all day long.

A whisky and wine lovers tequila. a beautiful nose that has red berry notes floating in with tequila and oak, grilled red peppers. On the palate wine comes to the fore and then tequila notes, sawdust and finishes with soft drying tannins.
