NOM 1459 | Really good Repo, oak and booze forward but it all works over the long finish. It’s really nice to see this style of Tequila again, it’s been a minute, bravo.

NOM 1173 | Nose: agave, mild sweetness Taste: cooked agave, light caramel, some ethanol, slight oaky-ness Finish: short, mild sweetness Value: 1.75 L at Costco - there’s probably better value to be had, but this is likely a decent cocktail spirit - but doesn’t taste fully additive free

NOM 1459 | Sweet, smooth hints of vanilla, very vanilla intense

NOM 1459 | Strong on the nose, muted cooked agave and oak notes. Very smooth, hits the back of the throat very smoothly.

Green pepper aroma. Good green pepper tequila

NOM 1459 | Not strong flavors, some spice, slightly bright.

Harsh at first but leveled out nicely

Aroma is crisp with no chemical notes. Decent flavor that’s drinkable with a hint of caramel. Finish is complex with mild spice and there’s a bit of a lingering aftertaste. Overall pleasant, but not top notch.

NOM 1173 I purchased this as an alternative to my now grossly overpriced Clase Azul Rep which has doubled in price. This Grand Mayan is overpriced for what it is but has a unique finish and flavors that are pleasing but the initial alcohol is a little harsh.

As expected the reposado doesn’t disappoint. Softer on the pallet than the blanco but lacking in the flavors of the 6 year Anejo. Only complaint is the price it’s only 5$ difference to buy the Anejo so why buy the reposado again.
