Matíari Tequila Reposado
“Muted aroma compared to the blanco, the roasted agave is present in the background along with some vanilla. Flavour is light, balanced and proportionate, the best quality of this is definitely the finish….it completely evaporates 3/4 palette and makes you reach for your next step.”

“Immediate response is this is sharp and clean. Black pepper, roasted agave, hint of almond. This tequila will easily have mass appeal if it can find a way into consumers hands. I’m a fan.”

Yéyo Joven Sol: Day of the Dead
“A very different experience from smell to taste…..this came off neutral to my nose and I couldn’t pick up anything that drew me in. The flavour is exceptional, nice sweetness and roasted agave that pulses in to define the sip. Sweet and unexpectedly dry finish, this is the perfect after dinner sip.”

Amatiteña Tequila Blanco
“This is the perfect Mezcal starter kit, smoke & vegetal notes are front and centre. Once you get past the obvious flavours, it is surprisingly gentle with almond & brown sugar. Soft and short ending, which is difficult to execute with this profile. Overall I applaud the effort, this is unique and worth buying a bottle. ”

“A bit too thin for the barrel to really take the lead, but a nice effort. Boozy back end with a long and enjoyable finish. ”

Dos Primos Tequila Blanco
“Smells good, tastes great! Old school flavour profile, hot alcohol with layers of roasted agave. Nice spicy finish on the end of my tongue, I graduated to a single ice cube on my second sample and it was perfect. Overall a really good Blanco, I will stock up next time I come across it.”

Santanera Tahona Tequila Blanco
“Great aroma, ticks all the boxes that make you wanna jump in. Flavour is a bit tropical with hints of pineapple and grapefruit with a strong background of roasted agave. Excellent finish, it fades a bit prematurely but then comes roaring back and has a nice even mouthfeel. ”

Lost Lore Reposado Amburana
“Baking spice all over the place here….smells like Xmas cookies and nutmeg with roasted agave. Flavour is very cinnamon forward, a bit too much if I’m being critical, but gives way to a more traditional roasted agave profile. This is a fun curiosity Tequila, I applaud the step away from the ordinary.”

Cascahuín Destino
“Wow, another home run for Cascahuin! Roasted agave all the way from first sniff to last tingle on the tongue. It’s a bit boozy but that fades quickly and it has an elite finish that leaves all the warm and fuzzy. The only downside to this is the price, $200+ for a bottle of blanco is getting a bit absurd, I wish this was more approachable. ”

Tres Agaves Añejo (Organic)
“This is a good Tequila, not great but a solid effort with no nonsense or additives I can pick up. The nose is very unique, I get the smell of white glue that reminds me of grade school. This gets better as it progresses, the taste is solid oak with roasted agave and the finish knows when to leave.”

Lost Lore Tequila Añejo
“I’m so confused, this was amazing blanco, mediocre Reposado and here I am loving the Añejo! I am just a silly gringo who drinks too much but maybe this tequila needs that extra time in oak to get a meaningful contribution. This is a great Añejo for true tequila drinkers, it still tells the story of the agave with just a whisper of the oak.”

My tasting notes are consistent with the base Reposado, it’s not really my jam after trying their exceptional Blanco. I applaud the innovation with cask use, we need more brands taking chances and broadening our understanding of what Tequila can be. This is 100% work trying.”

Lost Lore Tequila Reposado
“Something almond/cherry going on here that I don’t love. Still roasted agave to be found on the nose, but I’m not getting it anywhere on my tongue. I had huge hopes after trying the blanco, this just doesn’t have the same charm.”

Lost Lore Blanco High Proof
“I don’t love the nose on this, it’s a bit too medicinal to do the Tequila justice. With that out of the way, this is fucking amazing, it’s almost impossible to find balance at 55% ABV but somehow they have done it. This is a must-have for home bars or anyone who wants to make a high end cocktails. This is my favorite still strength to date.”

Elevación1250 Tequila Blanco
“Great nose has me leaning into the glass, I don’t detect anything that doesn’t belong. Lots of almond and lime rind, the alcohol is quite overwhelming at mid palate but dissipates fast enough. Overall a good Tequila, the structure makes me think this will be a great option for cocktails.”
