My 300th review on TMM. Thought it would be fitting to try Lou’s barrel because I watched many of his videos when I used to think Clase Azul was the best tequila. Now I know much better! Nose: I smell that Vivo right through the barrel. (And Vivo was good to me at first but it’s grown on me and now I love the uniqueness. One of the best blancos I’ve ever tried). I get agave, sweetness, some white cheese, oak, citrus zest (orange), and spearmint. Palate: Delicious. The Vivo is a standout and this aging is just right. Agave, white pepper, and minerals. Finish: A little heat but calm and pleasant finish on the tongue. Just beautifully done.
