Not much going on nose wise, agave smell is very faint with more barrel, fruity notes. Palate is better but not exceptional, with a bitter finish. Could be higher rating if the price was lower.

The aromas are juicy. There’s stone fruit, raspberries, hot tamales candy (cinnamon and sweet), buttery caramelized cooked agave, slight tannic note I usually get from a dry red wine and some AO dry barrel spice. There’s excellent depth to the many aromas. I taste the dry barrel spices up front along with cardamom, warm cinnamon and caramelized agave. There’s some nice sweetness from the cooked agave. It’s a dark sweetness like caramelized agave and unfiltered honey. The 94.6 proof helps to deliver a nice aroma and some strength of flavor. The finish is very nice. It’s all the intense flavors that then roll into a spicy vegetal roasted pepper note.

got a sample from Matt C agave swappers at oue bottle share au 29. this is amazing! one of my favorite repos of the year so far. slightly edging out the NY/NJ siempre doesn't drink like a high-proof. my favorite profile for a repo - barrel spices, vanilla, caramel, but not too sweet; easy sipping. I wish I had more to revisit.

NY NJ Siempre rebel cask sib repo Tasted small sample at our bottle share aug 29. This is excellent. One of the best repos of the year! Both the nose and palate are aligned -- barrel spice, vanilla, cinnamon, dried fruit/cherrry. Cooked agave is also present. It does not drink like a 55 abv. Easy sipper with a lot of complexity. Keep sipping. It evolves as it opens. Congrats to Siempre and the NY/NJ club for this fantastic expression!
