Very subtle aromas on this one. It’s lightly aged, so there’s still agave, along with earth and a tiny bit of vanilla. Flavor is agave and a little dried fruit, but not very complex. Still a solid Reposado that is easy to drink even at 46%.

While the Blanco was fantastic, I think the wood has muted a lot of my favorite flavors and aromas. It’s a little more subdued than the Blanco and not in a good way.

Aroma is soft with faint wood, caramel, petrichor, whispered ethyl and light sweet fruit. On the palate, sweet cooked agave meets peach seed, floral, mint, light salinity, and an earthy undertone. The finish lingers with clinging spice, fading agave, and a freshness laced with light salinity and a whisper of dying grassiness.

Nose: Soft and elegant — cooked agave up front with light oak, vanilla, and a touch of earth after the rain. Hints of caramel and faint fruit peek through. Taste: Bright agave sweetness meets peach pit, mint, and subtle floral notes. A little salinity and spice give it balance while the light oak adds depth without covering the agave. Finish: Clean and lingering — soft spice, sweet agave, a whisper of grassiness, and that minerality that reminds you this is true terroir in a glass.

Light oak, lots of sweet notes: agave, marshmallow, faint caramel. Plus some light pepper, citrus and anise.

I think the sweetness and the minerals battle each other. After taste is a little suspect too.
