The nose is amazing. The first tequila I have ever picked up a peanut butter note in the nose. The flavor is very complex and the finish is long and full of agave, citrus and heat.

The Chardonnay barrel delivers a much better experience than I was expecting, as I’m not always a fan of wine casks. Only aged 3.5 months the agave shines. Aromas of agave, floral, and cinnamon. Flavors pop with agave, followed by cinnamon, honey, light herbal, and citrus. The slight overproof helps with a creamy tingly finish that ends slight dry. I could drink this all day.

Did a side by side with Chapter IV and preferred that one ever so slightly more. My newer to tequila friend was the opposite.

A very good reposado from Manuscrito, you get a great aroma punch of sweet cooked agave, but the chardonnay barrel amplifys the aroma and taste with some cinnamon, honey and sweet cooked agave. 42.5 abv and under $50 price point is a great buy.

Creamy and buttery, as it opens more flavors come out the Chardonnay barrel is def there. Sweet cooked agave, cinnamon, flan like, tropical with some hints of pineapple as well. Very easy to drink with minimal heat. The price is excellent as well I paid 47.99. For me I think the sweet spot is at 42.5% the blanco and this one are really good!
