Lots of vegetal and earthy notes with cinnamon pepper and anise. This one surprised me with how good it is
Nose is barrel forward with oak and baking spices followed by subtle notes of honey, caramel vanilla, flowers and agave Taste leads with an equal balance of oak, agave and baking spices. Followed by pepper, minerals, vanilla, honey and a very subtle herbalness. I have revisited this bottle multiple times and it has gotten better as it has had time to open up but the balance seems to be a little off. The pepper, alcohol and agave just don't mesh as well as I had hoped. This is still a good high proof Reposado but balance is off for me.
Loads of agave and cinnamon on the nose. Flavors of agave, red hots, jalapenos, minerals, and a hidden layer of vanilla sweetness. This 103 proof mellows as it opens. Nice creamy mouth and long finish. Excellent value (grabbed mine for $60). Loving what they are doing at Manuscrito.
The Chardonnay barrel delivers a much better experience than I was expecting, as I’m not always a fan of wine casks. Only aged 3.5 months the agave shines. Aromas of agave, floral, and cinnamon. Flavors pop with agave, followed by cinnamon, honey, light herbal, and citrus. The slight overproof helps with a creamy tingly finish that ends slight dry. I could drink this all day.
Beautiful sweet aged nose. Agave comes through along with nice barrel notes. Sweetness up front on the palate with a creamy mid palate, followed by a nice long pepper finish that lingers. This is real nice
