It’s always exciting to discover a new tequila brand, and Pelotón de la Muerte makes a strong first impression. Cooked agave takes center stage, supported by black pepper, citrus, fresh herbs, and a pronounced mineral backbone. The 46% ABV is well integrated, adding intensity without sacrificing balance. It drinks with confidence and feels true to a traditional profile. Definitely a brand I’ll be keeping an eye on as it continues to grow.

Sample at Binnys All Things Agave. Nice aroma and flavors of rich cooked agave, butter and some spice at 46% abv. Nothing complex but well made and under $40.

Peloton Blanco sells in Virginia for $38 for a quality high-proof (46%) blanco. Aromas of baked agave, slight minerality, white pepper, lemon grass, and grapefruit zest. Let this rest and open up. Wonderful heat, pepper, butter, and sweetness. Minerality and baked agave, are there with maybe Jalapeño. The 46% ABV is very present in a wonderful delivery and doesn't leave too soon. Finish is wonderful. Bravo!
