Scores in the 90’s are rare air for me and that’s what this single barrel expression is. When I first tasted this I felt like this was a totally different brand and nothing like any previous Lost Lore I had tasted and I still, respectfully, wholeheartedly feel that way. I remember calling Mundo and asking him to pull the liquid out of the barrel because it was perfect. Deep richness, layered complexity, delivering grand aromas that made you want to keep drinking so you could uncover more. On the pallet viscous coating that echoed agave presence and a beautiful barrel marriage. The barrel didn’t take away from the agave and the presence of the agave didn’t take away from the barrel influence. They both highlighted each other creating a rare balance. Overall an extraordinary single barrel expression.
