Bottle: NOM 1639, RDVE4002 Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked agave, black pepper, citrus, lime, green grapes, dry earth, minerality, and alcohol…appealing and straightforward Palate: Cooked agave, alcohol, black pepper, vegetal, jalapeño, minerality, wet cement, dry earth, and citrus…comes in hot Finish: Alcohol, black pepper, and jalapeño…and stays hot, with a medium duration and thinner mouthfeel Overall: For a tequila that positions itself to be a well liquor, this is great. It’s a bit hot on the palate and finish when sipped neat, but the intensity comes through in a cocktail very well. In a margarita, I can still taste the cooked agave and black pepper, but the tequila feels balanced and in proportion to the other ingredients. For just under $20 in Florida, this is a steal.
