Viuda de Martinez blanco Sample from Brian Hames Agave Swappers Nose: yeast, chocolate and something sweet Palate: sweet spicy
Tasted with the owner This XA is wonderful on the nose. The palate is nice. The finish is a touch bitter. The Anejo is preferable but this is really good too.
Tasted with the owner. Cherries, vanilla, caramel. Agave. Raisin On the palate sweet agave. Nice barrel. Plum, great finish. Yes, I like this very much.
Sweet nose. Barrel spices, vanilla and caramel. Floral. On the palate, heavy on barrel. Sweet agave. Gets better as you sip.
Tasted with the owner, Jose Ruiz. Vegetal sweetness. Light mouthfeel. Moderate finish. This is a nice tequila and the history of the brand is phenomenal.
Viuda de Martinez Plata h.p. 48% abv Sample from Brian Hames Agave swappers I generally like hp expressions better than the 40abv from same brand. In this case, this hp version is sweeter than the 40abv version, and I prefer the 40abv slightly
