Good flavor. A touch oaky with dark chocolate and cinnamon. A touch thin for an añejo. Good, but the weakest of the Alma line.
Cooked agave with earth. Nice and oily. $30 or so. Excellent value.
Solid value brand around $30. Agave forward and balanced. Repo might be my favorite of the line.
Tasted the Blanco, repo and anejo in a horizontal tasting. Blancon was the best of the bunch. This one (anejo) had a decent aroma with nice caramel and agave. Very disappointing flavor and finish. Very bitter. Only good for mixing with a lot of other ingredients to mask this mess.
the aroma is nice, but this tequila is far too sweet. it resembles few of the characteristics that make tequila special. the blanco and reposado in this series tower over the anejo, but these suffer from too much sugary sweetness.
Nice Cooked Agave nose with some holiday spiced notes. Taste agave forward with white pepper cinnamon and some vanilla notes with nice woody barrel notes. Medium finish
