1800 Reposado
“A solid reposado, oak, plum, cedarwood, burnt pear and roasted macadamia. Not the most complex or woody, but a reliable go to for sipping or mixing. ”

Patrón Reposado
“For the price, I just can't justify it! There are some impressive notes here, and it presents as a bright, smokey and complex reposado, but you can get more from the 1800 reserve reposado for around the same cost. I think branding plays a big part in the cost here, if you choose patron, just know that a lot of that cost is going to be on marketing the product, not the quality of what goes in the bottle. ”

Espolon Reposado
“Citrus, wood, grass and spices. A really well balanced tequilla for the price. Would recommend, a real hidden gem for people who might be cynical dabbling in cheaper tequilla. ”

El Jimador Reposado Tequila
“If you prefer tequilla cocktails that aren't agave forward, this might be the one for you. It disappears into a mixed drink and doesn't really enhance or damage the other elements in the drink, it just....exists, in the back somewhere. For sipping, front notes are too vegetal and the chest heat is too high, especially considering the abv. For the price, it's drinkable (when mixed), especially in Australia where it sits around the same price at Sierra, 142 and Jose Guerrero, it's certainly the better of the 4.”

Olmeca Altos Plata
“Fantastic Blanco for a Paloma or Margarita! Fresh, citrus notes follow throughout the evolution and end on smooth wet grass finish. Not a standout for sipping, but not awful for the price. I got no indication of fake or intrusive notes, just a nice, clean, citrus forward blanco. I will be picking this up again for mixed drinks. ”

Vivir Tequila Reposado
“Smooth on the initial sip with a slight heat on the back note, too much vanilla on the end note, as if it has added vanilla extract. Would recommend for a winter cocktail such as a "Bloody Maria" to add some earthy and sweet notes, otherwise it is undrinkable on its own. It may be suitable for tequilla introduction, however, it is a poor representation of the rich earthy notes of traditional tequilla.”
