“Pulled in by the new branding (this is Cabresto Blanco) in the newer bottle and the fact this brand has Michigan ties, I wanted to give it a chance. Pleasant surprise! Crisp. Clean. Nose is agave and black pepper, nothing complex. The palate is bright and agave forward with some citrus, mint, and green pepper, and a really solid finish. Very pleasant blanco sipper, and the price point in Michigan is excellent. Definite competitor for a versatile blanco. 40%. Stone oven cooked, open air fermentation with natural yeast, double distilled and “authentic” AF. Brand Story: compelling! Small batch very family focused company, started as agave farmers, coming out of NOM1509 (Highlands- Arandas) New bottling is very clean and upscale for the price point with the blanco having a sueded hang tag wrapped nicely around the bottle neck, detailing the brand story. ”

“Definitely pour and let this open up for a few minutes. Nose is sweet and oaky with caramel and fruit, a little sweet. On the sip it is smooth, with warm caramel and a great balance with agave and oak. But the finish - that is where it is different. Long finish but not overpowering, just lingering in a great way. Spend some time with this one and I guarantee it will grow on you. Delicious. ”

“Beautiful bottle, beautiful color. Nose heavy dark fruit and leaning heavily toward the wine casks used to age. Taste sweeter than I prefer but very smooth. People who like a variety of spirits may like this as a sipper but for the $ there are many better options for tequila enthusiasts. ”

“Love this brand and while I prefer the extra anejo and the blanco over the reposado, the length of the finish on this tequila is fantastic and so pleasant. Great agave and refreshing minerality. Mouth feel is amazing. Super quality and enjoyable but don’t miss out on the El Tesoro blanco. ”

“To be extremely fair, this is just not a flavor profile I personally enjoy. Quality production shows (and tastes) however the underlying smokiness is too much for me. I will recommend to friends who prefer a tequila that leans toward funkiness and a little mezcal-like nose. ”
