Tequila Ocho Reposado - Widow Jane
“Hands down the best reposado I’ve ever had. I guess I’ve got to agree with those who dock points for value, which is the only thing I could possibly criticize here. That said, I think it’s worth the price of admission at least once.”

I am by no means as experienced a taster as many on this platform, but I’ve been fortunate enough to sample many high end bottles including Los Abuelos Anejo, which currently holds the highest Anejo rating on the site. I gotta say, I like this stuff better. I don’t think I prize smoothness as highly as others, which is probably why I can rank this bottle so highly. Definitely personal preference at play. This bottle DEMANDS your attention. It slaps you in the face and then starts making out with you. I’ve tasted too many bottles that try to create a strong identity by ramping up flavors like oak or caramel. This bottle crafts an unforgettable identity around the agave - the truest expression of tequila in my book. The high proof ramps the experience up to 11 for me, but your mileage may vary if you prefer something with less burn.”
