El Tesoro de Don Felipe Paradiso
“I initially tasted it and was not impressed. I did not write a review because at times my pallet is off. If my pallet is off l, I stop drinking. My trick is to have a really good Blanco, then go to a Repo, Anejos onto Extra Anejos. It really brings out the true expression of each . I just had it again. Totally different on my pallet today. I am pleased to report it is an excellent Extra Anejo. Aged 5 years? For the price, it's excellent. On the pallet... orange peel, caramel, vanilla, honey and spice. Great balance. On the pallet... Initial hit of bitterness that explodes into caramel, honey, vanilla into a fantastic finish of orange peel and a little heat. Mid pallet is an explosion of flavor. One of the better finishes I have had. This tequila is all mid pallet to finish. I can taste the French oak and cognac barrels. I really enjoyed it. I will buy another. let it sit in your glass for a bit. Really opens up. Highly highly recommend. ”

Tears of Llorona Extra Añejo
“This tequila is really worth all the hype around it. I have knocked a few with a lot of hype, but can't knock this one. On the nose... beautiful agave, tons of fruit, coco nibs, coffee, barrel notes and caramel. I'm surprised I still have agave on the nose with everything going on. Beautiful medley of flavor that are perfectly aged and mixed together. So balanced. Very bold and savory nose. On the pallet.. It hits you with agave, fruit, barrel, caramel , followed by a nice heat mid-pallet, coco nibs, caramel and barrel finish. I love the suble heat mid-pallet. I can still taste the finish a minute later. Really tastes nothing like I have in my collection. Hard to compare it to anything. Considering really hyped and overrated Anejos are going for $140, I would splurge the extra 100 for this beautiful tequila any day. Plus it's 1 liter. Highly highly highly recommend! ”

“Hmmm. Definitely taste the wine casks and French oak. On the nose..I don't know...agave wine, caramel, barrels. Agave and wine on the pallet. Some caramel. Unique for sure. I bought for $80. Would not pay that again. $50-60, Maybe. Many better Anejos out there. Meh.. Just ok. Will have to revisit.”

“Hmmm .. I'm conflicted on this Repo. My pallet is off today. My initial impression - On the nose...agave, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon. Wine? Unique nose. Not something I'm used to. Not too impressed. I do like different . I will have to revisit this one. ”

Tequila G4 Reposado
“Classic beautiful G4 agave floral minerality. To be honest, I barely taste any barrel compared to the Blanco. Decent legs in the glass. I loved the Blanco. The Repo is barely a Repo. I get mostly the beautiful agave floral Blanco with slight color. . In my Repo, I at least want to taste a good barrel. On the nose.. No barrel. Beautiful floral agave. Citrus and a little cinnamon. Just a recommend for me. I would just buy the Blanco and skip this Repo. It's still very good, but I get a slightly muted version of the beautiful Blanco. ”

El Tesoro Tequila Reposado
“I am not impressed with this Repo. I expected a lot more from this brand. For $80, it's overpriced. legs break a little quick in the glass. On the nose.. Light barrel. Citrus, slight caramel, cinnamon and orange notes. A lot bitterness that I don't like in the finish. You have to let this one open up. Nose does get a little better. Tons of better Repo's out there for a better price and blow this Repo away. I would not buy again at this price.Cant get past the bitterness . I can't recommend at this price. ”

Gran Dovejo Blanco High Proof
“This high proof is good. Not the best or exceptional. Just good. For the price, you can't beat it. On the nose.. Good agave up front. Citrus, cinnamon and vanilla notes. It's rather nice. The only issue I had was the ethanol heavy nose. It's a high proof, but good high proofs are not that ethanol heavy. The pallet has an initial hit of ethanol, followed by nice citrus, cinnamon and vanilla mid pallet. Finishes off well. Extra points on price. Highly recommend.”

Viva Mexico Blanco
“I found the Blanco near me for $25. I really liked the Repo and Anejo. They are excellent . The base to those has to be good for aging to end up with a good barrel aged tequila. On the nose..sweet agave, citrus, earth notes. Maybe a hint of cinnamon. Very mild and muted nose. As it sits in the glass, it gets more floral. It opens up. I can smell the champagne yeast. On the pallet.. nice sweet agave from beginning to end. Citrus and earth notes. Green vegetal. It has a good front and mid pallet. Finish is good. Lasts a bit. I get the sweet agave all the way through. Not as viscous and oily as other brands, but coats the pallet well. Surprisingly. Legs break in glass rather quick. I have nothing bad to say about this Blanco . It is made very well. Explains the very good Repo and Anejo. If you like sweet agave that is not harsh and without burn, this is for you. It is not a bright, punch you in the face agave bomb, if you are looking for that. But it is a very good sipper. Well made. Highly recommend. Especially for the price.Extra points for price. ”

Atanasio Reposado
“I really like Atanasio. They knocked it out of the park with the Anejo and the Repo is also very good. On the nose.. agave, citrus, honey, cinnamon, light caramel and orange peel. Good barrel presenceand balance . Medium finish. The mid pallet burts with flavor. Surprisingly complex for a Repo. As far as Repo's go, this is up there. Even better, I bought it for $50. The dried glass never lies . Always smell your dried up glass. It will reveal the real complexity and work that went into your tequila. I would definitely buy again. Highly recommend. ”

Don Vicente Tequila Reposado
“A good Reposado. Nothing spectacular. I didn't get much complexity out of this Repo. On these nose... mild agave, citrus, pepper, minerals, light barrel notes and ethanol. Sometimes I like a good straight Repo without too much going on. Pallet hits with agave and pepper, light barrel all the way through. Good mid pallet and finish. It's a good Reposado at a good price. Light barrel notes stay with the glass when finished. For the price, It is a recommend. ”

D'Antaño
“OMG! I am blown away. I can't believe the panel only rated this an 88. Ridiculous! No way! Oh! Wait..let me take another sip. OMG! The most beautiful, amazing, bold, full bodied, complete, mouth watering and perfect balanced Tequila I have ever tasted. Just.. WOW! I was looking for ONE tequila I wanted to splurge on. I didn't want to spend over $300. I looked at the usual XA's...Tears, Rey Sol, Tapatio, G4, El Tesorro and all the other highly rated XA's. I then asked mysef; what tequila profile, taste and NOM do I really like for pure, clean and artisanal agave flavors. The beatiful agave flavor and not barrel overpowering was non negotiable. Kept coming back to Siete Leguas. I love their agave profile. They do it right. Was surprised when I found out they made an XA. I looked at all the reviews. I read everything. Did my research. They make my favorite Blanco (Siete Decades). So I settled on their XA. I made the right decision. This XA is beyond words. In the glass, the oily juice sticks and doesn't move. The nose is incredible. Immediately agave, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, butterscotch, fruit, honey and everything beautiful under the sun in one glass. Everything is perfectly balanced. PERFECT! On the pallet, immediate agave. Followed by caramel, vanilla, honey, fruit, chocolate and butterscotch Initial, mid and finish are perfection. Not too sweet, not too hot but perfectly balanced in all its complexity. Very bold and deeper flavor. Elegant flavors. I can go on and on, but you get the picture. This is the splurge bottle to get if you want the ONE. Forget the fancy and gimmick boxes and packaging of others. It's expensive, but I have not tasted something so beautifully crafted. I highly -highly- highly recommend Siete's XA. Will I buy it again.. ABSOLUTELY! Great job Siete Leguas. You just ruined every other tequila for me. Nothing else even compares. Price gouging by importers, distributers and stores is infuriating. Just had to get that off my chest. Is it worth $220-280. No! points deducted.”

Tequila G4 Blanco 108
“This is a very complex Blanco. If you're someone who doesn't like high proofs/heat, this is not for you. alet it sit for 10 min to airrate. It has a very full nose and body. This high proof has a lot going on. On the nose, mint, sweet agave, cinnamon, white pepper, minerals and fruit. Pallet is initially hot until your mouth gets used to the proof after 3rd sip. It settles down and sips easy. Full bold pallet. It coats the pallet well all the way from beginning to end. Mid pallet hits with beautiful sweet agave until the finish. Some mint, Floral, Fruit, minerals and sweet agave. Good legs in glass. Sticks to sides. This is a really good high proof. The price is fantastic. It's hard to find. Would I buy again? Yes. This will get you wasted if you are not careful. You will want another pour. Highly recommend. ”

Cascahuín Tahona Blanco
“This is a beautiful agave expression. Full sweet agave. Perfect proof that brings out a full nose of agave, citrus, fruit and minerals. Very easy sipping Blanco with a bright nose and bursts of flavor. Nice heat on the late finish after going down. Very good initial, mid and final finish. Good legs on the glass. It coats the pallet well. This is one of my top Blanco's. It's really that good. My only knock is the price. $100? $70-80 all day long. Lost some points on value. Would I buy again..Yes! But I would hesitate, just because of the high price. Highly recommend. ”

Terralta Tequila Añejo
“I was excited to try this tequila. It was one that I didn't have.I love this distillary. I have seen plenty of good reviews raving about it. I was looking forward to tasting it. To be honest, I was rather disappointed. It did not live up to that hype. On the nose..minerals, lots of agave, ethanol, some citrus and very weak barrel presence. The barrel did not tame it down at all. Still get a lot of ethanol on the nose and pallet. The barrels they used did not infuse this tequila with that beautiful caramel and vanilla that you would expect from a good Anejo. You can barely nose or taste it. It's there, but very weak. To my pallet, it tasted more like a Reposado. Is it good? Yes. Is it worth the money? Yes. I would rather spend $20-30 more for a proper barrel infused Anejo that doesn't take away the agave nose and flavor. Smelled my glass the next day and NOTHING there. No beautiful barrel and agave residue. This tells me that barrel influence iis very weak. I don't like a heavy whiskey barrel that overpowers the Agave, but I do love those nice sweet barrel notes of caramel, butterscotch and vanilla. The finish on this Anejo was mediocre. A good Anejo takes the agave to the edge where you get a good balance of barrel and the agave Anejo expression. I have not tried their XA, but I assume it must be like an Anejo due to the weak barrels they used for the Anejo.”

ArteNOM Selección de 1123 Blanco
“Light amber in color. Not pure white tequila. Just a touch of barrel where you can faintly smell it. It's also slightly higher proof. I really like that. On the nose.. Agave, cinnamon , earth, vegetal , cement, minerals, slight barrel notes. Nom 1123 makes great tequila. Initial Pallet is mild, then burts of agave flavor at mid pallet with spices, barrel notes, minerals and earth. Nice heat at finish. Not as candied agave sweetness as Artenom 1579. Valley agave always gives me more earth and minerals with a slight sweetness , like Fortaleza and other 1123 products. Can't complain about that. They are some of the best distillaries . I like blue Weber agave grown in both regions depending on the mood. Finish is rather quick for me and a little dry. Everything hits spectacularly at mid pallet and a light finish. Drops a nuke a mid pallet. It's different. I like different at times. Highly recommend. ”
