Komos Tequila Añejo Cristalino
“Aroma: You can definitely smell that this isn't an additive-free tequila. Not that the aroma is poor, it is quite nice if you're a fan if vanilla perfumes. Pallette: Aggressively vanilla, making it a nice sipping tequila.”

Clase Azul Reposado
“This is where it started for me. I was sitting in one of those hipster taco shops, and there it was, sitting on the top shelf at the bar. I had just finished a pretty poorly mixed Paloma and was feeling adventurous. I was told it was $25 for a shot, but it was pay day. The taste is unapologetically packed with vanilla. It is sweet with not so much of a bite, which really kills the finish. No bold after taste like there is with your typical repasado. I had to get a bottle of it. $150 for 750ml, which leads me into my complaints: 1. overpriced. The bottles are great conversation starters though 2. the drink itself is pretty viscous when compared to other tequilas. Watch it as you twirl it around in a glass. 3. The aroma itself tells you there's additives. Almost perfume-like, which shows up on the taste as well. What is good about it: 1. Great for sipping when it's neat. 2. You get a sense of elitism just by having the bottle around, if you're into that sort of thing. 3. Good for getting others into tequila.”

If you want to get your friends and family into "luxury" tequilas, you have them try this. The sweetness takes away from the typical bite that tequila has. I can see how an experience sommelier may turn their nose, however, since it may seem unnaturally sweet. Maybe that's from the cognac barrel? Either way, it's a great sipper, especially for those just starting out.”
