NOM 1595 | O my vanilla sweetener! You might as well pour vanilla extract in your tequila. Not for me! Only reason I paid the money for this bottle was because my wife wanted the “pretty bottle”……….

Light to medium amber color. Aroma of vanilla, cooked agave, alcohol and oak. Flavor of vanilla, artificial sweetener, cooked agave, black pepper, butter and oak (that tastes added). Finish was not long, except for the pepper spiciness. At least it's a pretty bottle.

Caramel vanilla and warm citrus on the nose, not much agave. Medium body mouthfeel. Immediate punch of artificial sweetener - strong vanilla & caramel - but cloyingly so. I dint pick up on agave. Short finish with aspartame aftertaste - no burn/heat. I can see how this is can be a gateway “”tequila” in the same way sugar and milk are a common gateway to coffee. Incredibly overpriced. Pretty bottle.

NOM 1595 | Very sweet but not vanilla forward, more like straight up white sugar. Some tequila is in the background so it’s not as offensive. Massively overpriced even when considering the bottle cost. Did not rate the other NOMs but very similar.

clase azul reposado the one I'm rating is from NOM 1595. tho it was made at a differemt distillery when i first tried it. this was my gateway tequila back in 2006 but I never reviewed it so i thought it appropriate to have this be my 100th review my palate has evolved since I started drinking this in 2006. I used to like sweet tequila. but I can no longer drink it. nose: isnt too bad - caramel vanilla cinnamon and fruit. palate: not great - oak sweet and bitter finish: short with a little heat i am not a fan of tequilas with additives so i can't recommend this, even though it was the tequila that got me into sippin. there are additive-free tequilas on the sweet side that I'd sip instead of this if I wanted something sweet

it's palatable but syrup in a bottle. Very sweet

Aroma, flavor and finish are far from what a great tequila strives for. Unnatural across the board. Ridiculously high price for liquid filth

Lots of caramel and oak on the aroma. Lots more caramel and even cream soda in the taste. Finish is light and short. Aroma best part. It is very (suspiciously) sweet. Not much agave.

I can see why this tequila is polarizing. It has an artificial vanilla taste which is not unpleasant but it clearly overshadows the agave. I do like this but the price point makes it a difficult purchase when there are better options at lower price points.

NOM 1595 | It’s a fun repo in a cool bottle. Not much for aroma—ok and very mild. Taste is sweet up front with plenty of barrel and some agave. Finish is ok but a little harsh.

NOM 1595 | Beautiful bottle, but we knew that already. Sweet, yet balanced. Pricey for a Repo, because it can be. Pretty bottle and all, it’s a fine tequila just not every day, sweet, additives and so on

NOM 1595 | So I had to try, I can not give my opinion in something I haven't try. Smell: I get some alcohol, wet floor and cedar Taste: I'm so confuse no agave, sweet in the tongue but the after taste is bad kind like when I drink anything diet. In my Opinion fake sweetener. Finish: this tequila goes down with a burn. I just can get over the the after taste. Will I buy this again? nope!!!

Really nice bottle that’s more of a piece of art than anything else. The liquid inside is super manipulated. Very sweet with loads of vanilla and oak. Thick mouthfeel. Drinks more like an amaretto or a cordial than a quality tequila.

NOM 1595 - Very unique and out of the ordinary tequila. Strong aromas of caramel, vanilla, cream soda. Flavors abound on the sweet side with vanilla and caramel bring heavy hitters. Finish is sweet with a hint of pepper leaving long silky legs behind. Price is steep perhaps because of the artesanal bottle included in the purchase. .

NOM 1416 | This is a super sweet tequila. It coats the mouth well, but it was way to sweet for me. There really is nothing special here besides the bottle. The nose is bland. I really had to search for aromas. Butter, butterscotch, brown sugar, hints of agave, wood on the palate. Medium finish. Suspect this has additives and colors. Seems a bit dark and sweet for a repo.

NOM 1595 | Waaaaay too sweet for me, tastes like someone mixed tequila with maple syrup! This product pisses me off because it sells so well at duty free and so many people think this is what tequila is suppose to taste like.

Uniquely sweet with so much caramel! The definition of an indulgent dessert tequila.

NOM 1595 | Nose: Oak, black pepper, caramel, vanilla and resin. Flavor: Super concentrated sweetness, heavy pepper and oak. No agave or complex notes.

I remember liking this tequila when I first got started with the spirit. Then I learned that I didn’t really enjoy sweetened tequila, so I stopped drinking it in favor of artisan small batch non-sweetened products. Just tried it again, and sorry, it’s too sweet for me now.

NOM 1416 | Sweet like pancake syrup with an aftertaste that is somewhat chemical in nature. This is a gateway tequila for many non-tequila drinkers along with DJ 1942. Stick with Don Julio 1942 as it tastes more natural.
