“This anejo is a beautiful dark amber color that looks tasty just looking through the bottle. The bottle, although attractive, is 14+ inches tall and may not fit on everyone's shelf. The nose brings delightful aromas of vanilla, cooked agave, butterscotch, nutmeg and some citrus. The taste is enjoyable and offers cooked agave, barrel notes, vanilla, caramel and brown sugar. If you can accommodate this tall slender bottle on your shelf, it's a good value and a well made tequila from NOM 1146.”

“For starters, this is a 70% tequila with agave nectar added which makes it "smoother" and sweeter. The bottle is oval shaped with raised agave and a leather wrapped label. On the nose and palette it has vanilla, butterscotch and oak with a hint of honey. Bourbon drinking fans will enjoy this and for $46 it's an enjoyable, easy sipper that's decent and worth trying.”

“Upon opening the elegant glass stopper I'm greeted with floral, fruity, citrus and vanilla aromas and can tell this is something unique. It's light, slightly bright and has white pepper, fruit, lime and orange for taste with a nice mild warming sensation going down.  Mijenta gets respect for being environmentally responsible and it's a great value at $40 and offers a likable profile. ”

“This is a pleasant, very nice sipper with fruity, mild apple, citrus, vanilla, floral and oak barrel notes. This reposado is complex though balanced and each sip brings another layer of flavors. Some white pepper with a little heat which tapers after a couple sips. I admire that the distiller promotes jaguar conservation and uses recycled Mexican glass bottles and agave fiber labels. The repurposed cork stoppers occasionally leak . Overall, it's a wonderful tequila from NOM 1414 that builds on a great tasting blanco!”

“This is one fine sipper and for $47 it can play double duty as a mixer. Nose is caramel, vanilla, oak, and spices. Tasted blind and out of six Anejo's scored 3rd. On the palate it drinks like a more expensive Anejo and has oak barrel notes with caramel, vanilla, white pepper and citrus. Liquid dessert in a bottle!”
