“People love to give you an alternative to high priced favorites like Clasa Azul and others. Each time I think I’m about to find a new favorite, I end up disappointed. Well, this will be my r recommendation from now until I find something better. The El Tesoro Anejo offers the menagerie of flavors I first encountered with Clasa Azul Reposado without additives. The complexity to cost ratio is just another thing to love from this tequila. From the first smell to the flavors that linger on your pallet Don Felipe has created a beautiful product. ”

“Like many bottles when first opened, there’s a strong, overpowering alcohol burn. All of that subsides when drinking this down the road and leaves behind mostly just sweet aromas that lack complexity. Aerating it as you drink doesn’t pay off and creates a burn that takes away any chance of picking up any nuances of the tequila. I don’t know if drinking this why resting in an arm chair at the cabin is influencing my nose, but I swear there’s roasted notes coming through. This would probably be best served for making mixed drinks. ”
