Opened a bottle from Mark Glasier’s collection. Cork was in tact, flavors were amazing from this old school Anejo. Such a gem.

Nice old school Añejo. Pleasant nose of vanilla and cinnamon. I do get agave and barrel notes. On the palate, delicious. Agave, vanilla and oak. Caramel. Chocolate and some pepper. Finish has nice viscosity.

Golden hay color, baked apple pie. Oak Barrel notes, more Vanilla, some tannins. Sweet cooked agave. Nice heat through a long finish. Really enjoyable.

Huge wonderful nose! Floral, fruity, bursting with agave. A hint of romano cheese as detected in the Repo. Flavor is kissed with a hint of oak. Waves of agave, vanilla, & tropical fruit. 06/30/2019 Update: Overdue to revisit and re-evaluate this classic, as it is one of my highest rated tequilas ever. It is a liter bottle from 2007. A musty, dusty earthiness to this. Big bold, ripe, jammy fruit and vibrant spices comprised of cinnamon, green cardamom pods, and a pinch of ground cloves. A definite lactic note with an oak nuance lingering in the background. Spices play nicely with honey like agave that is coating my tongue. A faint cider note and tropical fruit presence that reminds me of Paradiso. Notable white pepper heat.

These Denton bottles are impossible to find and treated like Unicorns. I had the opportunity to try one recently, and while I'm glad I did, I didn't find it significantly better than their current standard añejo.

this is currently one of my favorite tequilas at this price point. it is very light in color for an anejo and has a lighter taste than others but for me it is very enjoyable.

Lot A-1049 bottled on December 2005, Mexican market bottling. Rear label states: Añejado 2-3 años en barricas selladas por el Consejo Regulador de Tequila. Color: light yellow. Aroma: resinous sweet cooked agave! Agave honey! Sweet anise, minty, camphor burl, herbaceous, light wood notes and sweetness, a touch of vanilla sweetness, orange peel, very light white pepper, although it is so sweet, the minty & citrusy sensation keeps it fresh and intense; & makes the alcohol sensation almost unnoticeable. Palate: agave honey! Not cloying because of the mint and orange peel, camphor burl, good sweet & sour balance, peppery. Finish is medium to long, the sweet agave, minty sensation and light wood spice lingers. Wow!

Simply awesome ! Made by the master (r.i.p. Don Felipe) and his son Carlos in all the old fashion authentic ways . Back when the agaves were huge and sweet . Masterfully aged and blended . This anejo is legendary. You smell and taste tons of sweet cooked agave, with fruity floral notes as well as barrel notes . Such a great sipper . Every bottle a treasure. Mine is a white label from the 90s .

It’s the long finish for me, that hampered my rating. I don’t have a palate to know the flavors, but the taste is quite enjoyable. Again, for me, it’s the long finish plus the heat sits on top of my stomach and the back of the mouth. I might prefer my finishes to be shorter and stick to one area of my insides.

This is excellent stuff, my rating does not do it justice. but it's very tasty, Abit too oaky for my taste but a very good sipper.

At Retail $50, this is a steal... top 5 tequila I have ever had!
