Sampled from Remy's bottle, this is an outstanding reposado from NOM 1146. Quite viscous in the glass, legs are amazing for a reposado. Barrel and roast agave combine perfectly to make a nearly perfect, for me, reposado. Some sweetness along with caramel from the barrel have me thinking of Creme Brulee with a hint of burnt sugar. Finish is long and rich.

Dark straw color with viscous legs. Nose: Cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg. Big roasted agave and ripe peach. Palate: Oily, spicy with licorice that complements the agave. Honey and some pepper follow. Finishes in a lingering fashion with all of the above, plus vanilla, pepper warmth and creaminess. Found this bottle bundled with a 500ml Purasangre 38% repo for $445 pesos.

Tasted a newly opened bottle, some letters on the bottle have fallen as well as the transparent label on the rear side, but I am pretty sure this bottle is from NOM 1146, tasted on 7-25-24. Color: yellow to light yellow. Aroma: hint of cooked agave, light acidity, light eucalyptus freshness, earthy, wood notes just like the Purasangre añejo cactus bottle is quite active and dominant throughout. Slightly herbaceous. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, wood note is quite active on the palate too, I can feel a hint of agave sweetness on the background, but the wood note impregnates my retronasal. Finish is medium to medium long, hint of cooked agave with eucalyptus freshness and wood notes persist.
