wax and cinnamon aroma. no agave. unnaturally sweet. popular Total Wine brand. the line is sweeter as you get to the aged expressions (especially the cristalinos). fine if you like that flavor profile, but not for me

NOM 1459 | Sweet caramel on nose, apple. Taste is palatable, light, with just classic (basic) añejo notes. Vanilla, sweeteners (additives). Wouldn’t probably even enjoy this in a cocktail.

arom is ok, however the taste of fake sweetener is unmistakable. you can even taste it in a margarita. no thanks.

Too sweet for me. I could not taste agave. The flavors made me question if they were added?

Very sweet on the nose. Lots of vanilla, Oak. I don’t know about anyone else but I get subtle hints of jalapeño on the finish. This is my last name so this tequila will always hold a special place in my heart and collection.

It caught me off guard how sweet it is with a quick finish and minimal bite or spice. The aftertaste had me thinking it was an artificial sweetener type of feeling. Pretty heavy on the tounge.

On the sweet side but I liked it! Would get it again.

Heavy Caramel and Oak, finishes with cooked agave, vanilla, black pepper, and orange

Flat for an añejo. Light notes of oak.

I sampled this at a total wine. They had cases stacked in an aisle. It was awful as i expected since the floor minion pushed it on me for a “great tequila”. I don’t know if the repo or Anejo was worse but both didn’t taste like tequila. Given that the NOM has dozens if not hundreds of brands, it comes as no surprise.
