Montagave Joven 45.5 abv NOM:1123 Release: 2025 Bottle No. 228 Nose: Cooked Agave Wet Cement Black Pepper Fruity Mint Grapes Dried Fruit Butterscotch Cinnamon Petrichor Taste: Cooked Agave Fruity Mint Cinnamon Sipping: Very bright, oily mouthfeel that fades quickly. Clean, minty. Refreshing cinnamon. Not hot. Complex.
Received a sample from Agave Swappers Aroma: mostly skipping this because I didn’t have the right glass. Definitely picked up agave, minerals, and some light grassy notes. Taste: great balance between the agave, minerals, and barrel notes. The star of the show was the spice. This has a really strong kick of pepper that I really enjoyed. Finish: this one stuck around for a while. Overall: I recommend it!
NOSE: raw agave. very vegetal, a touch of floral, citrus & black pepper tint bit of honey PALATE: raw agave, vegetal, honey, very slight cocoa. FINISH: alcohol, medium finish
Another home run for Montagave. Agave forward nose and silky smooth with long clean finish. Really loved this one.
Pricey! Having said that, this is a really good expression with layers of complexities from the barrels, the ABV, blending of multiple expression etc....
