Earthy nose and subtle palate. Not bad, just not a lot going on. It’s an easy sipper.

After trying siembra ancestral 2025, I thing this is a great one, most impressive thing they are using the same artesanal process, bringing those nice nose notes of thyme, oregano and rosemary, palate of pickles, brine, smoke and hot finish but really pleasant !! I can say wow to this one!!

Blanco artesanal / lote 060224 Bottle: 565 / 40 abv: Stone oven, mazo y canoa, wooden fermentation vats, copper pot still. Solid traditional process — though by NOM-006 this is ancestral, not artesanal as labeled. Master Distiller states he’s the only producer using mazo y canoa. That’s not accurate — Siembra Valles Ancestral uses the same method and is worth the comparison. On the palate: cooked agave, citrus, light pepper, clean finish. Well made. No faults. If you’re new to ancestrally produced tequila, this is a decent entry point into what the process can express. For the more experienced palate, the profile stays within expected range without pushing deeper. The process is there — the complexity isn’t fully realized yet.

Solid nose. Nice cooked agave. At $40-$50 it’s nice and complex and has character Palette has nice agave. Very well balanced. Hugh notes n the things I want. Nice earthiness. Concrete and some minerality. The finish is pleasant - with some earthy creaminess and buttery.

Esto review es en base a una muestra que me regalaron Aromas: de agave, menta, grama, tierra En el paladar se siente el agave un poco de pimienta y un sabor ahumado bien rico que no molesta y al bajar se queda ese ahumado mientras baja.

It’s made the old school way. Wood fired in a hand built oven. This tequila is extremely smooth. High quality blanco. You get the Smokey tones from the wood fired agave. Also a hint of sweet. This is a new brand out of this distillery. It’s so new in fact that they have not been able to age any of it long enough to make a reposado yet! Highly recommend!

Mexican 40% abv. versión, lote: 060224B3ART, bottled on 12-02-2024. Destilación: lento/leña. Cocimiento: horno de barro y leña. Molienda: canoa y mazo. Fermentación: Roble Americano. Destilación: Alambiques de cobre. Tasted on 4-26-24. Aroma: sour, cooked agave, intense green vegetal notes, dry, acidity, hint of oregano & hint of thyme, hint of pickles, after 20 minutes in the glass I can smell a hint of wood note. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, dry green vegetal notes, hint of ash, light citrus, dry. After 30 minutes I tried it again and through my retronasal I can smell light aromatic spice and floral notes. Finish is medium to medium long, light cooked agave with sourness, dry light wood and light green vegetal notes persist.
