NOM 1110. Aroma shows cooked agave, mint, butter and a hint of floral sweetness. The mint and cooked agave are very present in the opening flavor. These move into some almond and spice. Interestingly and a bit uniquely, the spice doesn’t appear until way at the end. The mint ebbs and flows but is present at some level throughout. Nice complexity in the aroma and flavor on this one. Medium finish. This is a nice sipper you could spend an enjoyable evening with. 06-17-2026

NOM 1139 This is definitely from Carlos Camarena (La Altena). Has so much of a Tapatio DNA but with so many notes from the Cognac and wine barrels. This has a very nice nose, palate and finish.

1139 Tasting in Chisholm Trail Jarrito Aroma: Agave, Minerals, Cinnamon,Citrus,Caramel, Oak, Vanilla Taste: Agave, Caramel, Cinnamon, Oak, Vanilla, Black Pepper, Heaven!

Nom1139 Nose: Cooked agave, hit of citrus keeps things lively, while subtle oak and vanilla ease in and round it all out. There’s a nice balance here. Palate & Mouthfeel: It leans on the thinner side, but still manages to coat the mouth in a satisfying way. Cooked agave shows up first, followed by smooth vanilla and mellow oak. A bit of orange adds some lift, then the white pepper starts to build - bringing a layered, slightly floral heat that gives this pour a little depth. Caramel lingers just beneath the surface and softens the spice nicely. Finish: Sweet and spicy, with a warmth that doesn’t rush off. Final Thoughts: This one’s pretty solid. It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel, but the warmth and spice are well done, especially with the lighter mouthfeel.
