This newer distillery uses excellent craft production methods. Aroma of cooked agave, vegetal, hay, minerals and alcohol. Flavor of cooked agave, black pepper, citrus, minerals, vegetal and a hint of alcohol, being 48% abv. Pleasing, long finish.
So much going on. Incredible! Lot 0224 Aroma starts with lots of tropical fruit-peaches and mango. The aroma evolves after a few minutes to citrus and saltwater with some minerality. Taste is so sweet with lots of agave and some mint. Finish is incredible and long and good. Let it sit and evolve. It changes as you experience it. One of the deepest and most complex tequilas out there.
Aroma: 25/25 Beautiful funky fruit salad! Fills up the whole room when poured. Toasted cinnamon. I love it! Palate: 29/30 Lemon vanilla shortbread cookie. Overripe fruit. Lush greenery. Medium body. Finish: 24/25 Sweet pepper spice Value: 6/10 - updated 7 —> 6 For $90, this is far from a cheap high proof blanco. That being said, the quality is fantastic and unique. While I struggled to rate this section, I settled on 7 given the quality.
Had this at the AMM road show in Santa Monica. This will be a staple in my collection going forward. A bit pricey, but totally worth it.
