“For this rating I had to pull out the 2025 version and compare them side-by-side. Although there are some similarities in the aroma, the flavor is wildly different. Aroma: Lots of butter, cinnamon, earth, and of course, cooked agave. I'm also getting orange peel, and some creamy nut-like aromas. The aroma is more complex than the 2025 version, with a lot of layered subtleness that tends to get me interested in the flavor to come. Flavor: Round, balanced, buttery, more cooked agave, and there is a very faint and delicate smoke component that shows up in the finish. It feels like the perfect amount because it doesn't get in the way of the agave. For me, this 2026 version is a more balanced and refined product. I am hoping I can get more of it before it's gone, so I am on the lookout.”
