Vessel: Chisholm Trail Jarrito Nose: Banana, Pear, Chamomile, Apricot, Butter, Anise, Almond Palate:Carmel, Pepper, Floral, Minerality, Oak Finish: Burnt Carmel, Oak, Floral, Cinnamon, Honey You can't accuse this of not being complex. There is so much going on here, it's insane. This Anejo goes from fruity to floral to sweet and then just continues shaking it up every direction there after. As the sip progresses more and more oak come out. By the time you finally get most of the Oak notes; you realized that the Oak took it's time and really earned its place, right where it belongs. Another absolute banger from Cambio!
Didn't realize this was listed.
nose is really great. palate is also really good. the finish is a little drier than I prefer. hence why I like the cambio regular anejo better. but this is quite good too
Sample from Seattle Juan. Thanks John! I'm liking this more as i sip it. Wine presence is subtle, but it's definitely there. I like what Cambio is doing. Really good new brand!
While aficionados tend to prefer blanco tequilas, and imbibers of dark spirits usually gravitate towards añejos, the reposado category is often overlooked.
On the nose this rested blanco smells of sweet fruits, grapes, peaches, honeysuckle, and of course sweet agave. This high Brix tequila was made sweet and smells sweet. This tequila is all hearts. On the palate, it has some variance but I still get the fruity notes but I also get some spice. jalapeños! It is buttery and peachy.
