Mexican 38% abv. version, marbete is from 2013 but couldn’t scan it, tasted on 2-8-24.
Color: dark yellow.
Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, light acidity, light citrus, light orange peel, light citrus notes, hint of vanilla, light herbaceous note, toasted agave? Hint of burnt caramel.
Palate: confirms aromas perceived, toasted or burnt agave juice sensation.
Finish is medium to long, light sweet cooked agave with a toasted sensation, burnt caramel, hint of wood note, light herbaceous and orange peel note persists. Ends slightly cloying.
Caramel, vanilla. Sweet. No agave on the nose or palate. Comes from Leticia Hermosillo, maestra tequilera from Cava de Oro. Way too sweet for a tequila, I’m sure it has additives to give it the color and artificial taste.
Nose is the best part, brown sugar, agave and some baking spice.
Too sweet on the palette, just a bit bland and sugary.
Finish is long with a bit of bitter from the barreling.
