Tres Agaves Blanco
“I had lower expectations for this one. Bought to use as a mixer but not bad straight. If you must have an organic tequila this is not a bad option. I think a bit thin and a little rough though. Solid agave, some spice, pepper. Thin bodied. ”

Sin Rival Silver Tequila
“I’m not sure I agree with many who say this is overly sweet/artificially sweet but I would agree that it lacks depth and complexity. It opens well but not mind-blowing. Maybe not one to enjoy straight on ice but I do like it on ice w/ a squeeze of lime. There are better blancos to enjoy as a sipper but this is not bad. Creamy, sweet, mild citric, sugar cane, not an agave-forward blanco.”

Tapatio Blanco 110
“This is an excellent blanco. I would put it behind Calle 23 and Cascahuin though. Lots of cooked agave, honey, citrus, green apple, mint. White pepper. Hot for sure. I can’t help but wonder if the alc. is clouding some of the complexity. Overall a treat. Get it!”

Cascahuín Aniversario Blanco
“As of the week of 2/9/20, this was not at old town liquor. I got this bottle at Mercado Del Mar in rosarito yesterday. US $80 I did not think I would find a blanco I liked better than Calle 23 but I did and this is it. I scored both 92 but I would choose this over the Calle. I found this just a bit more interesting but I have not tried side by side. That would be a fun tasting. Nose came off as a tad hot. Flavor, wonderful. Semi-sweet. Super smooth. Creamy. Cooked agave. Carmelized brown sugar. Sugar cane. Some earth. Slight citrus and ripe tropical fruit. Outstanding. ”

Patrón Añejo
“My score here is a bit low because I would not recommend and “might” drink again. Probably really a very low 80 though. I don’t think horrible but super thin, lacking depth and not complex at all. But...if options bleak might be decent choice. ”

“One of my favorites—not just favorite blanco, but one of my all time favorite tequilas. Surprisingly sweet. A tad hot on aroma but opens up really nicely. Honey, cream, cooked agave, vanilla, Thai basil, some pepper, and green apple. Complex, sweet, super enjoyable. ”

“Solid. Vanilla and cherry. A nice sipper but not worth the price.”
More info →“I like all Suerte tequilas I have tried so I was excited about this one. In short: very good but not blown away. Once you factor in price, I’m not sure worth the experience. Lovely aroma. Flavors of honey creme brûlée. Honey and caramel dominate. Vanilla. Roasted agave. Wet clay and a little white pepper. Silky mouthfeel. On the sweet side but not cloying. There is oak and wood present but nice because not over-bearingly so. It does open up well. I just upped my rating a tad. ”
