“My current go to nightcap. Medium finish with flavors of cooked agave, oak and whiskey. ”

“Being a whiskey/bourbon fan, I like spirits with a bit of fire/burn to them. This Casa Noble Repo is not that. While the aromas are excuisite of milk chocolate, cooked agave, and brown sugar, the flavor is a bit indistinct, but smooth. Picked this up on sale from one of my liquor distributors in Cabo San Lucas for about $16. At that price, you can't go wrong. At regular price of about $30, I'd make a different selection such as Tierra Noble Reposado, San Matías Extra Añejo Reserva ( Mexican version mixto) or even Espélon Reposado (bourbon barrel aged) ”

“Although the Mexican retail version is a mixto this is a great sipper. I always relate the flavor profile of this tequila to a candied Christmas cake with spice and dried fruit and baking spice notes on the nose and palate. A great entry Añejo tequila for people that "hate" tequila but don't know what they're talking about. ”

“It seems like every tequila distillery is on the Cristelano bandwagon these days. Here in Cabo San Lucas this one normally retails 420 Mexican Pesos, about $23 USD. I've never been a huge fan of the Cristelano expression although have many friends who love DJ70. Found this Hornitos on sale for 199 pesos this week about $11, and thought it was too good a deal to not at least try it, even though all Sauza product are diffuser tequilas. (thank you Tequila Matchmaker for the insight) Opens with alcohol on the nose and a hint of vanilla, seemingly a characteristic of the Cristelano expressions. Smooth. Mouthfeel with a hint of jalapeño? Short peppery finish. I'll finish the bottle but probably wouldn't by again. ”
