100 Años Reposado
“Made with a difusser, so in paper this doesn't look promising. Dominant flavor is first alcohol and then cooked agave. Worse part of this tequila is the bitterness in the finish. The price point is well placed for a 100% agave tequila (one of the cheapest ones) although in the end I think it will just add an alcohol flavor to it. Perhaps a direct competitor to El Jimador and Centenario Azul. For sipping I think I would better go with Centenario Azul.”

Maestro Dobel Diamonte
“This tequila is a good introductory choice. Smooth flavor and nose. A bit of agave and alcohol in the nose whereas vanilla (not too much) is what comes up in the tongue. I'm hesitant of drinking these "diamond" tequilas because in the end it is a blend where the absense of color denotes that the flavor is corrected with aditives.”

Siete Leguas Blanco
“Siete Leguas is a tequila that is and still feels local (it is quite difficult to find it outside Jalisco) but you can find it almost everywhere at least in Guadalajara. I have the perception this tequila is the pride of the people from the Jalisco region of La Ciénega (Ocotlán, Atotonilco el Alto, La Barca, etc), even above Don Julio and Patrón that are also from there. It is almost like if this tequila is the one that really represents them. The general perception is that this tequila is hard to tame, just not for everyone. Definitely great for sipping, but the taste is just too strong (but in a good way). No alcohol, just lots of cooked agave.”

Herradura Reposado
“Rested for 11 months. Strong vanilla flavor with a kick of pepper. Good looking bottle design. Finish is smooth and lasting. "Herradura tequila starts out with a mix of 80 percent highlands agave (which is sweeter, fruitier and more floral) and 20 percent lowlands agave (which is more potent because of the valley’s volcanic soil)."”
