“aroma: pepper, smoked jalapeno, roasted agave, vanilla pudding, savory aroma overall. taste: silky agave with mild earth on the back end. the two month of oak are very noticeable. taste is very one dimensional but very enjoyable. overall: great for beginner drinkers but I was left wanting more. definitely has the "smooth" factor but not much after that. a good option for folk who are used to additive heavy juice who want a real product. ”

“Bottled 17/06/22 Aroma: black licorice, butterscotch, mint, sarsaparilla. Freshly cut grass and some toasted agave underneath. Taste: Vanilla, root beer, lingering fresh grassiness and light cooked agave. Mouthfeel/Drinkability: easy going through and through, but less agave focus for El Pandillo. Overall: El Pandillo can do it all. I prefer the G4 lineup but so impressive to see their ability to appeal to other tequila palates while still staying true to their roots. ”

“2022-1 Batch Aroma: freshly crushed agave, briney, olives, orange peel, straw, mint, tropical citrus, just so much going on. punchy notes from the still strength character without being overly boozy Taste: tangerine citrus and cooked agave forward. Funky undertones are matched by fresh wintergreen and bold heat. Green earthiness lingers on the palate. Exceptionally clean finish is so impressive. This bottle lived up to every bit of the hype. The still strength aspect are so well balanced, complexity of taste and aroma are world class.”

“NOM: 1599 the old juice aroma: pears and olive brine. light citrus and vanilla. cooked agave isn't smokey or intense, excellent balance. this is a good one if you aren't a fan of peppery agave spirits. taste: minerality and cooked agave lead the way. elegance and balance are key here. not as funky and briney as the nose at all. drinks wayyy too easy. finish: no alcohol heat. citrus and clean agave notes present on the finish. After buying this bottle, I'm sad to see that Cazcanes has switched their source but excited to try the new juice. Even at the elevated price point for a Blanco I'd grab another bottle. ”

“Aroma: citrus, vanilla, lemon peel really pop. Mild briney note is pleasant. Fresh spicy cooked agave so warm and welcoming. perfect balance of creamy and herbaceous character. Taste: mango cobbler with vanilla ice cream. the foeder ferment really softens the traditional g4 Blanco experience. peppery agave lingers with some fresh mint as well. Drinkability/Finish: the elevated proof is so well done here. provides dynamic character while still being so friendly to drink. El Pandillo just doesn't miss. This isn't your traditional Blanco but that makes it a standout star. ”

“Here is the information I received on this product from a sales sheet before tasting... Tequila: Made from 100% Blue Weber Agave Average age of Plants: 5-6 years Cooking: Historic brick oven and autoclaves for 36 to 48 hours Fermentation: German yeast strain for 72 hours Stabilized: tequila subjected to -2C degrees for 12 hours to preserve clarity Flavor development: passes through oxygenation system for 48 hours for smoothness and to preserve agave flavors Blending: to create the unique taste profiles of each of the Tequilas we asked the distillery to create something better. Our formula is a blend of 50% highland region and 50% from the Lowlands region. This gives us the flavor notes from each region plus the combined cooking methods giving us our unique base profile distinctive to our Tequila. Now onto the review... Nose: bright sugary notes lead the way. Touches of alcohol and mild cooked agave after. Rounds out with lots of creamy vanilla, fresh flowers, and mild herbaceous notes. Taste: Cane sugar sweetness again jumps out. Light raw agave but overall the flavors are mild. Somewhat simplistic but I didn't get any noticeable flaws. Lacks depth in the taste and mouthfeel categories”

“Nose: lovely herbal agave up front. Mild vanilla, caramel, and coconut mesh well with some fresh cracked pepper aromas. Just a touch of alcohol which adds a welcome level of depth. As this pour opens up some barrel character comes forward. Taste: light peppery note leans the way. Cooked agave and mild vanilla barrel notes follow. Lingering wintergreen and herbal agave on the finish. Mouthfeel. Slightly alcohol throughout adds depth with being over the top. Overall light barrel impact makes this a complex and fun journey. Overall: I saw a lot of Rubber/Plastic notes on early reviews of this Reposado and I just don't get them now. Hopefully a credit toward this distillery growing into themselves. Agave forward but there's a lot of nice whiskey characteristics that shine through. As I've read this Repo ages in Jack Daniels barrels which will contribute more mild American whiskey flavors. This product also accompanies a great Female lead business story, a group with a lot of focus on making a great product. ”

“Nose: cooked agave, vanilla, butter, honey, flowers. Delicate balance between the agave and barrel character lean 60/40 toward the agave. White pepper lingers behind. Taste: Herbal cooked agave leads. Toasted coconut and vanilla give this a great mid palate. Finish is great with lingering spice. Mouthfeel: soft, mild texture in a great way. Elegant finish, this is my favorite part. Great reposado. The perfect mid point between blanco and anejo. ”

“Nose is pepper and cooked agave driven. Softer white pepper, herbal fruit, and soft custard follow. Noticable touches of cane sugar as well. All aspects of the nose play together peacefully, creating an inviting and balanced aroma. Coconut and cooked agave jump on the palate first. Light herbal earth and citrus show up mid palate. Mild wintergreen and just a touch a alcohol on the finish. One of my all time favorites so I thought it was appropriate to make it my first review. G4 delivers a consistent and crowd pleasing profile. It doesn't have the in your face dynamic quality of other world class Blanco's, but I continue to reach for my glass over and over. ”
