“Fairly neutral blanco. Light aroma and flavor of cooked agave and citrus, very light short finish. Nothing wrong with it and I’ll happily drink it if someone else is paying, but there are much more interesting, flavorful tequilas out there at ~$40 a bottle. ”

Don Julio Reposado

“Private Cask Barrel #047, Bottle #223/240. 42.7% ABV, Aged 10 months. Aroma: very light and clean. Fresh agave, light oak, cinnamon & vanilla Flavor: Slightly oily mouthfeel, similar flavor profile as aroma Finish: slightly peppery, very short and a bit disappointing. Was hoping the slightly higher proof would give a longer finish. Overall I’m happy I tried the Private Cask since it was available. Probably not worth the extra cash compared to regular reposado though. ”

“Aroma: Vanilla, cooked agave, black pepper, light oak. Flavor: light vanilla, agave, sweet Finish: short, light black pepper This is an all around crowd pleaser. Not the most complex or interesting añejo out there, but the bottle always looks great on the bar and guests are always excited to get a pour. Recent demand has driven up the price though making this one a splurge for sure. ”

“Very light aroma of cooked agave and not much else - no complexity. Light cooked agave and pepper flavor. Finish is very harsh and headsy. Definitely not for sipping, fine for mixing. ”
